The Kenmuir Arms Hotel is situated in the small village of New Luce in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway, a short picturesque drive from Glenluce to the south and the historic village of Castle Kennedy and the main ferry port of Stranraer, which lie to the south west.

To approach the Kenmuir Arms Hotel from the South or East of the country follow signs for Stranraer/Dumfries (A75 Euro-route) off the M74/M6 at Gretna. Follow the A75 for 86 miles leaving the A75 at Glenluce. Travel through the village to the far end and take the 5th turning on the right to New Luce, which lies 5 miles beyond. The Kenmuir Arms Hotel sits beside the river in the centre of the village of New Luce.

To approach the Kenmuir Arms Hotel from the North or West, follow signs for Ayr/Stranraer (A77) off the M8 at Glasgow. Follow the A77 for 83 miles towards Stranraer. Take A751 at Innermessan on to A75, turning towards Dumfries. The New Luce road end is at Castle Kennedy only 1mile along the A75 and New Luce is 6 miles further on.
